Your routine may have helped with clogged pores. But painful, recurring acne involves more than a blockage.
Show me whySome acne products focus on unclogging pores. Others help with excess oil. Those things matter, but they may leave other parts of painful acne unaddressed. Here is how the cycle works.
Hormonal changes linked to your cycle, stress or PCOS can increase oil production. That extra oil can mix with dead skin and clog pores. Skincare cannot change the hormonal trigger. But it can address what happens next in the skin.
Oil and dead skin can form a plug inside the pore. Salicylic acid helps unclog pores. Glycolic acid helps remove dead skin cells. Exfoliation can help with this part. But a blocked pore is only part of the problem when acne is red, swollen or painful.
Inside a blocked, oil-rich pore, acne-causing bacteria can contribute to a breakout. Benzoyl peroxide targets these bacteria. If your routine mainly focuses on exfoliation, this part may still need attention.
Your skin reacts to what is happening inside the pore with inflammation. That is what can make a breakout feel tender and look red or swollen. Managing painful acne means addressing the blockage, bacteria and inflammation, while keeping your skin comfortable.
That may be why your routine has helped with clogged pores, but the painful breakouts keep returning. Targeting acne-causing bacteria matters too.
Rapid Clear uses 2.5% micronised benzoyl peroxide, with particles approximately 7 times smaller than standard BPO.

Rapid Clear was evaluated in a 6-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled split-face study on Indian skin.

*In-vivo clinical study conducted at a UKAS-approved independent laboratory, 2025. Individual results may vary.
“I had been struggling with active hormonal acne for years. Despite treatments and trying various products, nothing really worked. Within just a week, my cystic acne started to calm down.”
“I had been getting big acne on my forehead continuously. Used as directed and my acne calmed down in 3 to 4 days. New acne still comes but goes away very quickly.”
“It did not work in 4 days as mentioned, but I can see the reduction in acne and softness in my skin. Finally feeling like I found a solution for my long-term acne problem.”
“Absolute 10/10. This product genuinely helped with my active acne and helped me manage new acne from forming.”
“Very gentle and non-stripping. My skin is super sensitive and acne-prone, and this is one of the few cleansers that doesn't irritate or dry me out.”
It is designed for red, painful and inflamed active acne, including breakouts that repeatedly return around hormonal triggers.
The clinical study recorded first visible improvement by Day 4, a 47% reduction in active acne by Week 1, and 78% clearer skin by Week 6. Individual timelines vary.
Apply to damp skin, leave it on for 2 minutes, rinse thoroughly and follow with moisturiser. If your skin is reactive, patch test first and begin once a day or every other day.
It cannot change the hormonal trigger itself. It works on the blocked pore, acne-causing bacteria and inflammation that show up on the skin.
Some dryness or tingling can happen, especially when starting. The formula includes ceramides, hyaluronic acid and soothing actives, but moisturiser is still important. Stop if burning, swelling or persistent discomfort occurs.
Do not add it alongside prescription acne medication without checking with your dermatologist. When starting Rapid Clear, avoid introducing several strong acne actives at the same time.
Rapid Clear is made for active acne. It is not designed to remove existing scars or act as a dedicated marks serum.
Choose a congestion-focused cleanser if your only concern is blackheads and whiteheads. Speak to a dermatologist before use if you have very dry or eczema-prone skin, or have previously reacted to benzoyl peroxide.
Rapid Clear clears the pore, targets acne-causing bacteria and supports skin comfort in one 2-minute wash.
