What is the formula for?
Active pimples, leftover marks and dry, tight skin need different kinds of care.
You see niacinamide. Ceramides. Another percentage. But what you want to know is simpler.
“Will this actually help my skin?”
Let’s look beyond the labelGood to know.
But what you really want to know is:
An ingredient name tells you what’s in a product. It doesn’t tell you the whole story of how that product will work on your skin.
Active pimples, leftover marks and dry, tight skin need different kinds of care.
The amount, form and way an ingredient is delivered matter. A higher percentage alone is not the whole answer.
Look at the rest of the formula too. Hydrating, soothing and barrier-supporting ingredients have a job to do.
You shouldn’t have to piece all of that together yourself.
See Divanshee’s explanation ↗That’s the approach at The Solved Skin. What needs to change? How can the formula help? And how do we care for your skin while it works?
Here’s a real exampleTake active acne.
Oil and dead skin can block a pore. Acne-causing bacteria and inflammation can contribute to a red, swollen pimple.
Rapid Clear Facewash brings together ingredients for the breakout, the buildup and the skin barrier.
2.5% micronised benzoyl peroxide targets acne-causing bacteria and helps remove excess oil.
Glycolic acid helps remove dead skin cells. Ceramides and soothing actives support the barrier and help calm irritated skin.
Apply to damp skin, leave on for two minutes, then rinse. Follow with moisturiser and sunscreen in the morning.
Rapid Clear’s formula was evaluated in a six-week, split-face study with 36 adults. These were measured changes in red, raised pimples.
*Study averages for papules: 47.1% reduction in lesion size at Day 7 and 78.4% reduction in count at Day 42. Participants also used moisturiser. Independent laboratory study, 2025. Individual results vary. These results are for the tested Rapid Clear formula.
Read the clinical report ↗“Within a week, I noticed visible changes. My acne began to calm down, and even my family and friends commented on how much better my skin looked!”
“Acne are coming but they are manageable and I feel it's because of the facewash. Only a acne prone girly could understand how it feels when skin is getting better from the worst acne phase.”

Care for leftover marks · Keep sun protection in your routine
Explore Spot FadePigmentation and pitted scars are different concerns. This is not a treatment for deep, indented scars.
For skin that needs moisture and barrier care
A ceramide and cholesterol complex supports the skin barrier. Hydrating and soothing ingredients help skin feel more comfortable.
Lightweight gel moisturiser · For everyday barrier support
Explore Barrier RepairDryness or tightness can have several causes. Persistent burning, swelling or a rash needs medical advice.
Not automatically. The right concentration depends on the ingredient, the concern and the finished formula. More can also mean more irritation. Look for a clear purpose, use instructions and relevant evidence.
No. The choices above address different concerns. Start with what your skin needs, rather than adding everything at once. Keep gentle cleansing, moisturising and sun protection in your routine.
Patch test new products and introduce them gradually. A formula designed for sensitive skin can still disagree with an individual’s skin. Stop use if you develop burning or persistent irritation.
Active breakouts and the marks they leave need different care. Read each product’s guidance before combining actives. If you are already using acne medication, check with your dermatologist before adding another treatment.
You need to know what a product is for, why it’s made that way and what you can reasonably expect.
